Sometimes, a whole lot has to change at once, so children who experience C.S.A don’t lose themselves.
That’s where we come in.
LUSID Psycological Care is a new non-profit with the aim of changing not just how we care for kids who go through the worst, but also how Psychology as a field deals with this whole problem. We are here to meet the moment and deliver the necessary care to ensure the next generation has fewer victims.
LUSID Residencies will take children out into nature to heal. When that journey turns to struggle because grooming blurred lines, LUSID is here, committed to staying with the child to ensure they get the lifelong care they need to make sure they do not go on to offend. This is how you use trauma informed care to break the cycle.
The system is broken, so we are here to change how this whole process works.
LUSID Residencies make sure children and families have what they need to find themselves again after tragedy strikes. But who said healing has to suck?
LUSID believes in making healing easy, because it shouldn’t be hard. We know that the peaks of the highest highs have to outmatch the valleys of the lowest lows.
That is what makes life worth living.
The nation faces an unprecedented moment where we all agree that abusing children is wrong, but not many know what to do about it. It is easy to feel hopeless as more children than ever are coming forward to report abuse while at the same time there are fewer and fewer institutions willing to or capable of helping.
Did you know that adequate care does not exist for the public when they are abused? It is a nationwide struggle, but here in Washington, we are blazing new trails, literally, to handle it. We are doing this because we can and should.
Community coming together to build their own healing structures can make government services and insurance gatekeepers irrelevant.
We can come together to protect our children.
Help keep the fire burning bright.
At LUSID Residencies, we meet our objective by living our three values:
-
Space to heal
Extended healing adventures in nature with counselor & veteran teams tailored to each child
-
Supporting those who need it most
Continued care for those who were heavily groomed as they may struggle with offending if they are not properly supported
-
Changing the comunity
Support for the family so they can properly support the child through the transition

Residents will be taken out of pre-prepared remote, off grid campsites on the traditional homelands of the Jamestown S’Klallam People of the PNW for extended stays with counselors and veterans to work without distraction.
-
When the fundraising goal is met, land will be purchased for the development of a lodge as a permanent home and expansion of LUSID Residencies on the traditional homelands of the Jamestown S’Klallam People allowing us to help exponentially far more children heal.
-
The ways of healing developed here will be document for reproduction. The concept is fairly simple. In time, we will identify teams of people across the nation who want to use the name and ways to help develop local systems to serve those in their area.

Yes, your donation to LUSID Psychological Care is tax deductible as we are a registered 501(c)(3) Non-Profit.

Our hope is to take children on developmental journeys whenever they need extra support, not just in the immediate aftermath. Healing is not linear. That’s why, we want to have adventures that can keep up with the children who come to us. We fully expect someday to not only have children jump out of our helicopters so they can find their way back through the obstacle courses, but we also intend on helping some of them get pilot’s licenses.
When we say we understand the peaks must outmatch the valleys, we mean it. We know that some of these children will have come to use with awful wounds and in order to fully heal, those children will have to become capable of outmatching their abusers, however they get there.
Traumatic energy finds a way. Always. We want to be there, ready with the path of least resistance, beaten with persistence so that no one has to go at it the painful way, or alone.
-
We are a system of survivors ready to share what works with the next generation. We believe those with lived experience should create, preserve, and grow healing systems for future generations because that is trauma informed care.
We know that failure to thrive here can lead to tragic outcomes and so we are committed to doing the work to ensure the cycle breaks here and now. For good.
-
Beyond a shadow of a doubt.
We will always hold space for survivors to become who they are. Fiercely.
-
As a matter of proper trauma informed care, no, we will never be beholden to a religious organization out of respect to the tremendous amount of children that face victimization in that setting.
-
By keeping this free, we are not subject to the willingness of an insurance company to grant you or your loved one access to care. We are empowered by community to provide the support that is needed to do the hard work.
This is a proper decolonized practice that best supports community engagement for healing. We understand that most people care and just don’t know what to do.
If you want to help, we know what to do.

There’s a lot of work to do, and it can be overwhelming to look at it all as one big lump. We get it. So we broke it down into some more manageable chunks. The general fund will be used for awareness, fundraising, overhead, and operating expenses. Land & Lodge, Vehicles, Service Dogs, and the Spring 2026 Adventures are all self explanatory and funds given to those projects will determine when they get completed.
